Dewitt, Comfort reclaim Two Rivers 10-mile titles

TWO RIVERS – John Dewitt broke his own Two Rivers 10-Mile course record in impressive fashion, with a time of 50:09 Sunday to win the overall title.

Dewitt set the previous record in 2015.

Alexander Rink was second in his Two Rivers 10-Mile debut with a time of 53:32, while Matt Thull (55:04) took third.

Mike Beix took the master’s crown in a time of 1:00:38.

For the women, Caitlin Comfort captured another Two Rivers 10-Mile title after winning in 2015.

Her winning time of 1:01:00 was just off her course record time of 59:07.

Rounding out the top three were Jenny Zwagerman (1:02:15) and Laura Schmitz (1:05:25).

In the women’s master’s division, Suzy Stanley, of Two Rivers, ran 1:07:49 to claim her second consecutive master’s crown.

In the 2-Mile, Ben Weina, of Two Rivers, repeated as male champion with a time of 12:06.

Jennifer Chaudior was the first female finisher, and set a new 2-Mile course record in a time 12:44. Chandior also owns the Two Rivers 10-Mile masters course record.

In the 3-Person Relay event, a new women’s record was set by team Raider Girls (Savanah Stanley, Mckenzie Greenwood, and Diane Hendrickson) in a time of 1:12:56.

For the men, team Two and a Half Men (Justin Litersky, Joel Kuhl and Brody Kust) claimed the title in 1:19:44.

In the co-ed division, it was team Beauties and the Beast (Kristy Amerson, Nicole Sely and Joshua McQuillan) claiming the crown in 1:17:19.
